This Privacy Policy describes how ZestShot collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our iOS application.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create an account, we collect:
- Email address and display name (provided during registration or from your Apple/Google account)
- Authentication method (Apple Sign-In, Google Sign-In, or email/password)
- Profile photo URL (if provided by your sign-in provider)
Photos and Content
- Photos you upload for AI enhancement, including image dimensions, file size, and format
- AI-processed images generated from your uploads
- Enhancement preferences such as selected styles and settings
Subscription Information
- Subscription status (active, trial, expired)
- Subscription plan type and expiration date
- We do not collect or store payment card details. All billing is handled by Apple through the App Store and managed by our subscription provider, RevenueCat.
Device Information
- Push notification token (to notify you when photo processing completes)
Information We Do NOT Collect
- We do not collect advertising identifiers (IDFA)
- We do not use analytics or tracking SDKs
- We do not collect location data
- We do not collect contacts or browsing history
2. How We Use Your Information
- Provide the service: Process your food photos using AI enhancement
- Account management: Authenticate you and maintain your account
- Notifications: Send push notifications when your enhanced photos are ready
- Subscription management: Verify your subscription status and entitlements
3. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate the App:
- Firebase (Google) — Authentication, database, file storage, and push notifications. Firebase Privacy Policy

4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on Firebase (Google Cloud) servers. We use Firebase Security Rules to ensure that each user can only access their own data. All data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections.
5. Data Retention
- Your account data is retained as long as your account is active.
- Uploaded and processed photos are retained until you delete them or delete your account.
- You can delete individual photos from within the App at any time.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your personal data stored in the App
- Delete your photos and processed images at any time
- Delete your account by contacting us at the email below
- Withdraw consent for push notifications via your device settings
7. Children's Privacy
ZestShot is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us so we can delete it.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the updated policy in the App or on our website. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
